Who Are We?

We are The Monteith Group, an insurance agency dedicated to helping families. Since 2015, we’ve worked hard to connect our clients with the insurance products best suited for their needs, while providing our sales force with some of the best training and tools in the industry.

We realize that everyone’s situation is different, and the needs for an insurance policy will vary person by person. We know that navigating numerous policy options can be overwhelming, and it can be hard to find the one best for you. That’s why we make it a priority to spend time fully understanding what your goals, budgets, and concerns are. Using this information, we can then select from over 30 of the top-rated carriers to find the policy that’s best for you and your family.

At the end of the day, we have one goal: to make insurance simple for you and your family so that you can be protected with ease.

Who Am I?

I’m Kishon Monteith, the founder of The Monteith Group. But believe it or not, insurance was not where I started in life. I started my career as a chef, with cooking being such a passion of mine that I actually went to school for it before entering the culinary world. Unfortunately, what started as a passion slowly became a chore.

I found myself working 7 days a week at a country club in North Carolina, where they gave me a residence during my time with them. Now, this might sound pretty cool. At least I thought it did when they presented me with the opportunity. But the reality was lackluster, to say the least. What resulted from this residence offer was a feeling of never getting to leave work. I was working 7 days a week and lived where I worked, so it never truly felt like I had any time off.

Fortunately, shortly after this began I found an opportunity to get started in the insurance industry. I began as an agent for another company, where I then met the very people who would give me the opportunity to run my own insurance agency. And that’s where The Monteith Group began…

Our Mission

We, along with our staff and agents, have access to a network that allows for tremendous growth while allowing us to give back to the organizations and causes that mean most to us.
